The North East Smart Ticketing Initiative (NESTI) is funded by the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority (TWITA) and is a programme funded by 12 North East local authorities, aiming to roll out region wide smart ticketing facilities on all public transport. Orange Bus worked with NESTI to produce a new site which supports the impending roll out of the smart ticketing initiative over the North East. The site serves not only as an information hub for users of public transport in the North East, but also for members of the transport authorities which are rolling the initiative out. Orange Bus built the site with the user front of mind, ensuring that all information was clearly set out and quick to access, whilst displaying it in a dynamic and inviting manner. As the smart ticketing initiative roll out gains speed over the coming months and years, the site is going to be a key point of reference for all involved.
Orange Bus also recently produced a refreshed site for the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority (TWITA). TWITA is the governing body which oversees the public transport in the region. This website also serves as an information hub for people wanting to find out more about transport in the community. It also informs users of committee meetings and invites them to get involved.
