What we did

Orange Bus worked in partnership with Nexus to launch the 'POP' branded smart card ticketing system. The ticketless technology is one of the most advanced ticketing systems outside London and is currently being rolled out across the network.

The launch campaign required a strategic, forward thinking agency to deliver its digital presence and to encourage customers to take a smarter and more convenient approach to paying for their travel. The project was initially rolled out to under 16s demanding a dynamic platform that would engage young people but could also be developed over time, to answer the needs of a broader demographic.

As well as acting as a central information point, the 'POP' hub has been built to integrate with social media platforms, creating an interactive place where young people can get involved, give their feedback and opinions and connect with one another. The hub will continue to grow over time adopting new and exciting features, teaser virals, eDMs and online advertising.
