Orange Bus are currently engaged with Pearson Education on a long term project to develop a high profile, online learning environment for schools and home self-study. Our aim is to deliver a first class design-led experience which will motivate online learning amongst 14 - 16 year olds whilst delivering an inspiring user experience for students and teachers alike.
Working in close collaboration with Pearson from the very beginning has helped build team-wide understanding of the project goals, the audience and the areas to take into consideration. The project has followed an agile approach, working in sprints of user experience work, followed by development, with visual design being delivered along the way. This approach has allowed us to agree sign off and have confidence in ideas from the many stakeholders involved, gathering feedback early and often.
As well as designing and building the interface and testing it with real users, we are also now working with an external source to integrate the interactive resources into the platform for a range of subjects.
