SoulBoy was the first film ever set in and around the Northern Soul movement of the 1970's in the UK. Orange Bus became involved in the project after meeting with the producers at the early stages of editing where our MD Julian was keen to share his passion for the music and the world of Northern Soul.
Orange Bus delivered a website that showcased the film through video clips and trailers, promoted the numerous events surrounding its launch and provided an education for those unfamiliar with the history and music of the movement. Orange Bus also built in an e-commerce facility to allow fans to purchase the associated merchandise directly online.
Throughout the launch and beyond, Orange Bus continued to manage the social media aspects of the promotion, including maintaining the Facebook page and Twitter presence, helping to create and respond to the buzz around the film and engaging in regular conversation with followers. The Facebook page peaked at over 4,000 fans and the film still has 1,500 followers on Twitter spanning the UK and the US.
