Annie Charnley
Junior Designer
I have loved art and design since I can remember. I love every form of design and that had me confused for years on what to go into. I left school with an A in art & design; that and music were my greatest passions, but art came first so I got into college on an art & design BTEC and tried out all the different stuff. I then gave uni a shot and chose the wrong degree - illustration, then finally knew what I wanted and changed to multimedia & graphics.
And now I can say that after being at uni for 3 years I have come away with the thoughts, uni is a rip, dissertations are pointless and I wish I took a year out after college. I have learnt a great load in design but most of the time it's not very realistic of the real world. I learnt a lot more when I did a few placements in the industry. Like design isn't as simple as just communicating something to someone, it's about motivating people to do something, buy something or think in a certain way.
Anyhoo, as I was finishing uni I emailed Orange Bus about graduate positions and the nice people gave me an interview, and excellent news - they wanted me for freelance work and then awesome news - they offered me a job :D
